Blogging on the iPad (or not)
As I have been moving more and more of my course management software from sites like Blackboard to blogging platforms, I have been searching for a simple way to manage these sites from my iPad. What should be a simple process is indeed quite frustrating. This is mainly due to the fact that no blogging apps currently in the app store allow for rich text editing. This means to create new posts, update pages, or reply to comments, only simple text is possible. No bold. No italics. No bulleted list. Nothing fancy unless you happen to know (and be patient enough to use) HTML. For example, below is how a simple post looks from the WordPress app.
If anyone out there knows of a solution, I would love to hear it. Until then, however, this is a glaring weakness of the iPad.
